Our 2018 Spring Season is underway.
Fall Season begins September 10th. Registration deadline is August 12th.
League play days and times:
- Monday at 11am
- Tuesdays at 9am and 3pm
- Wednesday at 10am and 3pm
- Thursday at 10am and 6pm
We have open play on Monday and Saturdays, at Independence courts, with year-round play, for members and non-members of the club. This is a relaxed atmosphere for all members to practice and potential new members to learn the game and meet new friends. For Monday play contact Marge or Charlie Meves at 702-269-6994. On Saturday just show up at the Independence Bocce courts at 10am and we will put you on a team for the day.
Should you wish to join an upcoming league, we can put you on a team or complete your team if you do not have a full team of your own. We accept singles, couples and threesomes on the applications. You could also fill out a substitute only form indicating the days you could be available to fill in for another team. You can be on as many teams on different time days and time slots as you wish. You can also sub in as many different time slots as you wish that does not conflict with your team time slots.
Annual dues are $15.00 per player, no matter how many teams you are on or how many times you sub.
Our website: bocce.scaclub.org provides a calendar, league schedules, league standings, rosters, bocce rules, BOD minutes and applications to join the league.
After each season we have tournaments in May and December where tournament winning team receive An award, mentioned in the Spirit magazine and names on a plaque that is kept on display in Anthem Center next to fitness desk. Refreshments and food are available for tournament players.
We have an Annual Bocce Banquet after the Bocce season ends.
The Board of Directors meet on the second Tuesday of each month at Anthem Center. A General Membership meeting is held in November and all members are invited and encouraged to attend. At this meeting candidates to fill board vacancies for the following year are nominated.
