Registration Begins:  Monday, February 12, 2024, Bocce Spring League begins registration.  

Registration Ends:     Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 5:00 pm.  

Please complete your registration forms as quickly as possible and place the completed form and fee payment in the Bocce mailbox in front of the Anthem Fitness Center.

2024 Sun City Anthem Bocce Club’s General Membership and Election Meeting.  The Membership Meeting will be held immediately following the Club Leaders Meeting at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, November 13 in the Arlington Room at Anthem Center. 

The first item of business at the Membership Meeting will be to elect the Club’s officers and directors for 2025.  Nominations are now closed and may not be accepted from the floor.  Voting will be done by a show of hands and the Election Manager will record the results.

Upon completion of the election there may be announcements by Club Leaders, that will be followed by an open floor for questions from members.  This is the time to present your ideas and concerns to your club leadership team!  Many good ideas are mentioned through the year on the courts, but this is where they can have an impact!

All paid members are welcome to attend any monthly Club Leaders Meeting, but this annual meeting needs your vote and your concerns and ideas.

Come join us for the 2 x 2 tournament 

Dates:  Friday, September 13, 2024 and will run every Friday until November 15, 2024. 

Start Time: 10:00 am

FEE:  $2 per player per week.  Weekly 2X2 tournaments on Friday mornings during Fall League.  There will be a $2 entry fee and sign up on the website for weekly or all dates, Play will start at 10 am on Friday, September 13 through November 15 with a 50% payout to winners (35% for first & 15% for second).  The format will change to allow individuals to change partners each game for a balanced competition.  There will be food on the final date! 

You will be signing up as an individual and changing partners every game.

ANNUAL ELECTION OF CLUB OFFICERS

To all of our Bocce Club Members,
Our General Membership Meeting and Election is scheduled for Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 4:30 pm in the Arlington Room.  All members are invited to attend this meeting as all voting will be done in person at the meeting.  We will be electing the following Club Officer positions:

Your Club encourages you to consider supporting the Club by lending your knowledge and skills to the leadership team.  Any current Club member can be a candidate for any of the above positions. 

Nominations are required to close 14 days prior to the election therefore they must be received no later than 5:00 pm on October 24, 2023.

Candidates may not submit their names to any current officer, but only to the Election Manager.  Candidates may contact the Club’s Election Manager Lynette Webber at LSWebber17@gmail.com .

The list of candidates will be published to the membership 10 days prior to the election.

No enrollment necessary.  Just show up to play.

The open recreational play on Saturdays at the Anthem Courts is year-round play for members and non-members of the Club. This is a relaxed atmosphere for all members  to practice their skills and for potential new members to learn the game and meet new friends. Any Saturday just show up at (10AM from Oct - April) & (9AM May - September) and you will be put on a team to play a couple of fun games with relaxed rules. 

For those new to bocce, if you come to a Saturday recreational session, we will have one of our more experienced members work with you and give you a basic orientation to the game of bocce.
